This is how you place an ad

After you have registered and received your confirmation email, log in with your email address and password.

Then click on "Place a free ad" in the top right next to your account.

In the form, first select the category in which you would classify your ad. This is important so that it can be found easily. (If there is no category for your article, contact us and we will create one for you.) When choosing the headline, you should consider what search terms others would use.

Next, state whether you want to offer something or are looking for something.

Then give your ad a meaningful headline that describes the article briefly and meaningfully.

Better than "Water-propelled vehicle with combustion engine drive" would be to simply write motorboat. Avoid all superlatives in the headline, too, no one will search for them and you would slide down in the search results.

After the heading, you can enter your description. You should describe your item in detail and honestly so that a potential buyer can get a good idea of ​​what you are offering.

Next, enter the amount that you think is appropriate for the item. You can state whether this is a fixed price for you or whether you would negotiate it. (VB) Avoid writing only VB as the price. VB means basis for negotiation. This must be specified by the seller, otherwise a potential buyer will not know what base price to negotiate with you and will not contact you.

If you have something to give away, you can also select that. You can then leave the price field blank.

You then have the option of uploading up to 20 free images and a video for your item.

Make sure that the images are of good quality and size and that they are well presented. It is the first thing a potential buyer looks at after they have liked your heading.

You then have the option of choosing whether you want to offer shipping for your item or whether it should be picked up from you. If you decide to offer shipping, you can also choose which shipping service you want to use to send it.

As new items are sometimes offered for sale, you can now choose whether it is a used or new item.

Finally, you must enter your postcode and location so that your ad can be found in the postcode and location search. You can also enter your telephone number if you would like to be contacted by telephone.

Now all you have to do is click on Publish and your ad will be published.
